SUMMIT, NJ — An outdated playground at Summit is slated to get a facelift in the near future, as the Department of Community Programs recently applied for grants to make a number of renovations. Mabie Playground, which is located on the Village Green near downtown, has not been renovated in over 25 years. Switzerland to give Ukraine EUR 5.6M to renovate schools

Switzerland will allocate an additional 5.5 million Swiss francs (about EUR 5.6 million) to renovate and refurbish 30 schools in Ukraine affected by hospitality. That’s according to a statement posted on the website of the Federal Council of Switzerland, Ukrinform reports. Kitchen renovation reveals 400-year-old friezes in York flat | York

A man renovating his kitchen has found a 400-year-old wall painting of “national significance” in his York flat. Parts of the friezes, dating back to about 1660, were found by kitchen fitters in Luke Budworth’s flat on Micklegate in York city center last year and have since been fully uncovered. The paintings are thought to be older than the buildings at either side of the wall and are based on scenes from the 1635 book Emblems written by the poet Francis Quarles.
