Habitat for Humanity Northumberland and Ova Time Renovations are calling on the community to take part in their sixth annual partnership golf tournament at Ashbrook Golf Club on Saturday, May 27.

This year, the goal is to raise $15,000 through participation and sponsorships to help support Habitat’s build program in Northumberland County, said Habitat organizers.

The price per foursome is $600 or $150 per person. The fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, lunch and steak dinner, as well as an opportunity to compete in on-course games. In addition to the longest drive and closest to the pin games, golfers will have the chance to flex their skills by shooting for a hole-in-one to win a car sponsored by Lauria Auto Group, said organizers.

“Matthew Ova, of Ova Time Renovations, brings so much energy and organization to the tournament and we are so grateful for Ova Time’s commitment to our mission,” said Meaghan Macdonald, executive director of Habitat for Humanity Northumberland.

“We’re also excited to have more partners on the course this year to make the event more memorable.”

The day will start with lunch and registration at noon. The tournament kicks off with a shotgun starting at 1 pm and ends with dinner at 6:30 pm Hole and event sponsorship for the tournament is available and can be purchased alongside the entry fee to the tournament at: https://trellis.org/ova -time-renovations-golf-tournament, said organizers.

This year, Habitat Northumberland is planning to renovate one home in Cobourg and start the construction of eight more houses — seven in Baltimore and a single-detached home in Cobourg — ensuring more Northumberland families achieve strength, stability, and independence through affordable housing, noted Staff habitats.
